Easy-to-Use Protocols Yield High-Quality, Amplifiable ccfDNA

The Maxwell® RSC ccfDNA Plasma Kits are used with Maxwell® RSC Instruments to purify circulating cell-free DNA (ccfDNA) or circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) from 0.2–1.0ml plasma samples or 2–8ml of plasma. The Maxwell® RSC Instrument processes from 1 to 16 samples, and the Maxwell® RSC 48 Instrument processes from 1 to 48 samples, in approximately 70 minutes. The kit contains everything necessary for purification, with minimal preprocessing required. The Maxwell® RSC ccfDNA Plasma Kits are also compatible for use on the Maxwell® CSC Instrument in RUO Mode.

The purified cell-free DNA is of high quality with little genomic DNA contamination and is ready for use in downstream applications such as qPCR, next-generation sequencing (NGS) and digital PCR.

No Clogging Worries with a Paramagnetic Particle Mover

Because the Maxwell® RSC instruments are magnetic particle movers, not liquid handlers, they offer advantages over other automated systems. There is minimal risk of cross-contamination because no liquid handling or splashing happens during sample processing. With no clogs and fewer breakdowns, there are fewer disruptions to your workflow.

Process Large-Volume Plasma with Minimal User Intervention

Simple Processing Protocol

The prefilled cartridges and absence of preprocessing steps make it easy to purify high-quality ccfDNA with a simple three- or five-step protocol. In contrast, the lengthy Qiagen protocol requires multiple complicated processing steps.

High Yields of Amplifiable DNA Let You Move to Downstream Assays Quickly

High-quality ccfDNA is ready-to-use in downstream assays including digital PCR and NGS.

Comparison of cell free DNA yields with Maxwell RSC ccfDNA plasma kit

Circulating cell-free DNA yields are equivalent to those from the QIAamp® Kit. DNA was purified from 1ml of plasma using the Maxwell® RSC ccfDNA Plasma Kit and the Qiagen QIAamp® Circulating Nucleic Acid Kit. Isolated ccfDNA was eluted in 80µl, and yield was quantified by qPCR.
