Promega Supports "Aktion Baum" Reforestation Initiative – Employees Plant 1,000 Trees in the Region

Employees of Promega GmbH, headquartered in Walldorf, planted 1,000 new trees in the Heilbronn district (Baden-Württemberg), sending a clear signal of their commitment to sustainability. They were supported by Aktion Baum gGmbH, which coordinates reforestation efforts with the local forestry office and oversees the selection of suitable tree species and planting methods.

To this end, Promega GmbH signed an initial one-year sponsorship agreement, which the company intends to continue.

“The idea to support Aktion Baum came from employees at the European Logistics Center. Over the past 12 months, a small environmental contribution was added to each parcel shipped,” says Dr. Anette Leue, Head of Communications at Promega GmbH. “This resulted in a substantial amount, enabling us to purchase a total of 1,121 trees, around 1,000 of which were planted by our employees.”
