1. Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of Participation

By participating in the competition, the participant (hereinafter referred to as "the participant" for the sake of simplicity) expressly agrees that Promega GmbH will store the necessary data for the duration of the competition and beyond. The participant is free to revoke his consent at any time and thus withdraw from participation. With his consent, collected data will be used by Promega GmbH and its affiliated companies for market research, marketing, and advertising purposes. Promega GmbH points out that all personal data of the participant will not be made accessible to third parties.  

2. Eligible Persons

All persons who are over 18 years of age at the time of participation and are resident in Germany, Austria or Poland are eligible to participate.  

Multiple participation, e.g. under a pseudonym or other e-mail addresses, is excluded and leads to exclusion from the competition. The participant is responsible for the correctness of the address and contact details provided. 

Before participating in the competition, the participant is responsible for checking the acceptance of prizes in accordance with the institute's own guidelines. If there are any doubts, the participant is obliged to clarify them within his organization with the responsible person. 

3. Exclusion from participation

Promega reserves the right to exclude any person or entity from participating in any competition. Employees of Promega GmbH and all participating partner companies as well as family members are excluded from participation.

Participation in the competition is excluded if prohibited by local laws or institute rules.  

4. Determination and dispatch of prizes

The Promoter will only award prizes to persons who meet all the requirements of these Terms and Conditions. He can reclaim this if it turns out after the distribution that the requirements for participation are not met. Prizes are subject to availability; if the handover of the prize is not possible or unreasonable, the winner will receive an equivalent replacement.

A cash payment or an exchange of the prize is not possible. The prize will only be sent to addresses within Germany, Austria, or Poland.

5. Cancellation of the competition

The organiser reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition at any time - in particular in the event of force majeure and/or if the competition cannot be carried out or continued for organisational, technical, or legal reasons. If the competition is cancelled or terminated for these reasons, the participants have no claims against the organiser.

6. Changes to the Terms and Conditions of Participation

Promega GmbH reserves the right to change the competition, the terms and conditions of participation, the duration and the prizes played at any time and without giving reasons. 

7. Participation in the competition 
 
To participate in the competition, participants must answer the quiz question correctly and submit the form. Participation in the competition is free of charge and independent of the purchase of Promega products.

8. Determination of the winners

Only participants who have correctly answered the quiz question and submitted a duly completed form will be considered for the competition.
Participants from Poland:
From among all correct entries received, the Promega selection committee will select the six most interesting answers. The participant who submitted the most interesting answer will receive the main prize, while the participants who submitted the next five most interesting answers will receive consolation prizes.
The answers will be evaluated based on creativity and originality. The decision of the Promega selection committee is final and cannot be appealed.
Participants from Germany and Austria:
The winners will be selected by random draw from among the participants who meet the conditions of participation. The draw will be conducted according to the principle of randomness and with legal recourse excluded.
The winners will be notified in writing and may be announced by their first name and the initial of their surname (without their full surname or address) on the Promega website (www.promega.com) and on the relevant Promega social media channels.
